The Students Union Vice President, Okunsanmi Aderoju has vowed that the Students Union would give the winners of the Who-wants-too-be-a-thousandnaire competition their prizes by Friday.
She made this promise during a chat with an AFAS press correspondent. Aderoju apologised for the rather late payment, saying that it was due to unavoidable reasons. She also pointed that the 1 million naira that was reportedly gifted to the Union by Governor Ajimobi of Oyo state had not yet been remitted into the Union’s account.
When asked about the certainty of the candidates getting their money on Friday, Aderoju responded by saying that, “I am always truthful. I don’t lie. It is not my money.”
It would be recalled that one of the winners of the WWTBT competition, Mr. Ayoade Sheriff had on Monday, 31st Oct, 2016 lamented the failure of the Union to give any of the winners their prizes.
