The University of Ibadan Students Union held an orientation programme for the institution’s newly admitted students for the 2016/2017 academic session.
The programme titled, “21st Century Students: Challenges and Privileges” took place on Saturday, 4th March, 2017 at Trenchard Hall, University of Ibadan, Ibadan.
The royal father of the day, His royal majesty, Agbogidi (Engr.) Nduka Ezeagwuna, Obi of Issele-Uku, Delta state, advised the students to set a worthwhile standard in their academics.
He also urged them to have a positive mind towards their colleagues.
One of the speakers at the event who also doubles as the Chairman, Senate Curriculum Committee, University of Ibadan; Professor Ayo Kehinde of the department of English and Literary Studies took the students through how to calculate their Cumulative Grade Point(CGP) without stress.
Dignitaries present and represented at the orientation programme include; Olubadan of Ibadan; Oba Saliu Adetunji, Barrister Bolaji Sanusi, among others.
In a related development, the hall warden of the female hall, Queen Elizabeth II; Dr Catherine Chovwen has said that any fresher in the hall who failed to attend the orientation programme risked being evicted from the hall.
