The Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross Rivers State on Youth Affairs, Prince Godswill Edward has described the youths and women as the true agents of change.
Prince Edwards said this whole speaking yesterday, March 27th, 2017 at Trenchard Hall, University of Ibadan at the 2017 Public lecture organised by the Gender Mainstreaming Office, University of Ibadan.
Prince who spoke on the topic, “Gender and Youth Participation: A Panacea to Sustainable Development in Nigeria”, said that it is the youths and women who have all it takes to build out nation adding that women are strong and powerful yet untapped.
While emphasising the need for leaders to make room for youths and women, Prince Edward said, “I have become all that I am today because of the hope my mother gave me.”
He urged leaders to empower youths saying that a youth empowered would definitely reform to empower other youths.
Meanwhile, he encouraged the youths to learn to be part of the decision making whenever they find themselves by speaking, asking and influencing.
