​You have been trained enough to excel- Dr. Ifemade

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine inducted 62 Veterinary doctors into the profession on Thursday, 30th March, 2017 at the Faculty Auditorium.

Dr. Mrs Victoria who gave the induction lecture expounded on the career opportunities in veterinary medicine as she advises students to make use of various opportunities they have in the business world.

Dr. Ifemade welcomed the 62 doctors into the profession and according to him, they have been trained enough to excel, therefore they should be confident.

At the programme, Ibadan Doctors of Veterinary Medicine (DVN) 2015 also presented an award to the best 2016 surgical student in honour of late Dr. Wasiu who died of typhoid during his youth service in 2016.

 Awards of excellence were presented to Dr Musa Alasa; CEO of Adamo Animal Consult, Dr Gani Enahoro; National President, Nigerian Veterinary Medicine Association, Professor Bankole OLubiyi Oke, Oba (Dr.) K.A Sansi Obelu of Esure, IJebu Imushin; a foremost veterinary doctor.

 Dr Musa Alasa encouraged the new inductees to get a mentor in the field as they have been fed with enough theories. He said, “Your first priority is to get knowledge” 

Dignitaries present at the programme include: Oba (Dr) K.A Sansi, Obelu of Esure, Ijebu Mushin and foremost veterinary doctor; Chief Mrs. Sade Morakinyo, Dr Musa Alasa, Dr Gani Enahoro; National President, Nigerian Veterinary Medicine Association.
