The Investigative Committee, a body under the Faculty of Arts Legislative Council (FLC) recently held a meeting with the executives of the faculty, and other organisations.
The meeting according to the Chairman, Honourable Abdulsalam Shakiru, was to give a last, strict warning to everyone holding one position or the other in the interest of AFASites to desist from illicit activities.
Abdulsalam who claimed that his department, Arabic and Islamic Studies, had never for once stood before the Students Disciplinary Committee (SDC) said, “The head of every unit should go and warn their subordinates”.
The president of the association, Ojikutu Shola who was also present at the meeting said, “Nobody is trying to witch hunt anyone, the concern is the ability to keep watch over what is in your care”.
Meanwhile, Dimwaka Anthony, the Deputy Speaker, FLC has commended the efforts of Honourable Abdulsalam while he called for the transparency of every executive member and officers of the association.
Also present at the meeting were: Chibueze Clinton, Speaker; FLC, Ogunniyi Gbolahan, Chairman; Council of Presidents and Secretaries (CPS), Ojo Akinwale; AFAS General Secretary, Babalola Ibrahim; AFAS Financial Secretary, Ibrahim Yetunde; Member, Investigative Committee, Muminat Adekunle, Pressman and Rachael Ogunmuyiwa, member, Investigative Committee.
